WORK EXPERIENCE
Furniture
- Extensive experience collaborating with architects, interior designers and clients to design and fabricate custom furniture for both residential and corporate interiors.
- Develop design options and suggest ways to reduce cost.
- Coordinate and provide delivery and installations.
- Experience researching materials, techniques and marketability for product design distribution.
- Prototype designs from scaled drawings, models and sketches to be used for overseas manufacturing and/or for personal design development.
Sculpture
- Extensive experience hand carving/shaping wooden forms inspired from nature and architecture.
- Sculptures created from models and sketch ideas.
- Surface applications to include - texture, gesso, ebonizing, varnishes, nails, tacks, acrylic paint, etc.
- Collaboration with metal foundries to cast bronze forms.

Teaching / Studio Technician
- Develop course curriculums to teach college level design classes, focusing on introductory design concepts and principals. Course topics include Furniture Design and Construction, 2-Dimensional Design, 3-Dimensional design and Sculpture.
- Assist in the conceptual design and development of student projects. Demonstrate proper and safe machine usage.
- Final critique evaluations and insight into student projects.
- Provide technical and conceptual design consultation and development for graduate and under graduate furniture design studies.
- Consult in the design and layout of college educational shop studios; extensive experience setting up and maintaining equipment, power and hand tools, as well as resourcing and purchasing studio equipment and supplies.
- Supply and set up for 3D student projects to include wire, wood, plaster, matte board, etc.
Museum Exhibition / Production Design
- Michael C. Carlos Museum: Consult, design and fabricate various displays including matching the existing Michael Graves wall cases; new textile display cases, replica of old kingdom mummy coffin, lecture hall podium and adjustable task tables for the conservation lab.
- High Museum of Art: Design, fabricate and install main lobby benches to coincide with Richard Meier’s architectural design. Consult and fabricate built-in “Swimming Pool” display for Matisse exhibition. Fabricate and install casework and bust pedestals designed by Renzo Piano for the “Louvre Atlanta“ exhibition. Coordinate and fabricate signage frames for use throughout the museum.
- Turner Productions: Consult, design, fabricate, deliver and install main anchor news desks for Sports Illustrated, Spanish News Network and CNN International studio sets.
General Contractor / Residential
- Extensive experience renovating and remodeling historic residential homes.
- Prepare historic preservation application and presentation materials to include CAD drawings and scaled 3D models.
- Coordinate contract labor for structural engineering, framing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and other disciplines.
- Specify window, skylight and door placement, hardwood floor installation and also kitchen design and installations.
- Design, fabricate and install custom millwork, cabinetry, built-ins and fireplace surrounds.

Studio Set-up and Design
- Extensive experience laying out woodworking machinery and bench space.
- Materials storage for hardwoods and sheet goods.
- Spray booth design and finish area for clear coating with proper ventilation.
